
If you live in the Park and Pay area, you can apply for a parking permit which allows you to park in public parking spaces in your neighborhood at a reduced price. The parking permit is valid for 1 year from the date of issue. The parking permit is valid as soon as you have received a confirmation e-mail.

Questions and answers regarding residential permits
Residential permit for a second vehicle
Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply electronically for a parking permit for a second vehicle. Instead, please pay via bank transfer: Reg. no. 0216, account no. 4069189881. Please enter the vehicle's registration number and your CPR number in ”meddelelse til beløbsmodtager” [in English: message to the recipient].
You can apply for one permit per adult in the household, i.e. you are only able to apply for more than one permit, if there is more than one adult in the household.

Residential permit for a company vehicle
You can apply for a residential permit if you drive a company vehicle. This requires that your employer declares you as the only user of the vehicle. Please download the sole-user declaration here, have your employer sign it and then upload the declaration with your online application for a residential permit.
Residential permit for a rental or leased vehicle
If you live in a Park and Pay area and your rental agreement is made with an authorised rental company, then you may apply for a residential permit for a rental or leased vehicle. Please upload your rental or lease agreement when you apply for the residential permit.
Residential permit for electric car, hydrogen car or electric motorcycel per. January 1, 2020
As of 1 January 2020, a parking permit is no longer needed to park electric car, hydrogen cars and electric motorcycles at street level. A residential licence is, however, needed, if you want access to underground facilities or parking space at municipal institutions.
Residential permit for a motorcycle
If you own a motorcycle, you need a residential permit to park it.
You can apply for one permit per adult in the household, i.e. you are only able to apply for a permit for both a car and a motorcycle, if there is more than one adult in the household.

Residential permit for a foreign registered vehicle
If you drive a foreign registered vehicle and live in Denmark, it is possible to obtain a residential permit granted you have a permission from SKAT to drive a foreign registered vehicle. Read about foreign registered vehicles on SKAT's website (in Danish).
You have moved
The residential permit is issued to citizens with a permanent address in the park and pay area. Information verifying your permanent address is obtained automatically from the central national register (CPR) as part of the application.. Please note, that you can apply for a permit is 1-2 days after your official move-in date at the earliest due to synchronisation between NemID and the CPR register. NemID is not updated during weekends and public holidays.
Dot streets
On the so-called dot streets, which are marked by dots on the residential permit zone card, your residential permit is not valid as payment for parking on weekdays between 10 am and 17 pm. During this time, you have to pay the hourly rate that applies at the location in question.

Processing your application may take up to two working days. Your parking permit is active and valid once you have received a confirmation e-mail.

You must be registered as the user or owner of the vehicle or motorcycle in order to apply for a residential permit. Information is obtained automatically from the Motor Registry as part of the application. The parking permit is tied to the registration number of the vehicle.
You can apply for one residential permit per person over 18 years with permanent residence at the address.
The vehicle must have a maximum total weight of 3500 kg.
The parking permit constitutes an exemption to the general parking tariffs and offers residents in the Park and Pay area the opportunity to park at a reduced price in a defined area in proximity of their address.
The residential permit does not exempt you from respecting local parking regulations indicated on signs or by road markings.
If you no longer wish to hold an active permit, you must cancel it. The prepaid balance owed to you, will be reimbursed by transfer to your NemKonto.
